Dit moi dix mots
MOTION
As part of the “Dis-moi dix mots” competition, I chose to represent the word “arabesque” by highlighting the complexity of these works through their symbolic heritage, while drawing inspiration from the experimental aesthetics of the 1970s. I was partly influenced by André Lemonnier’s work and by films from different eras.
The project was created from thousands of glass rectangles generated along an arabesque pattern to preserve this sense of infinity. Glass evokes the elusive, unrepresentable quality that is inherent to the nature of arabesques.
